TALIBÉ MINI WORLD CUP

In December 2022, Why Not Me Foundation hosted our first Talibé “Mini” World Cup, a youth soccer tournament modeled after the FIFA World Cup.

The tournament consisted of 16 teams hosting over 200 Talibé boys and local impoverished youth!

We plan to recreate this unique experience again in December 2026 on an even larger scale, showing each child they have a chance at a normal childhood through the power of sports.

In 2026, our vision is to make this a global event, bringing together children from different continents to compete against one another in Linguère.

Please join us in this endeavor and become a part of the Talibé mini–World Cup 2026!

GIRL POWER DAY

Every year, Why Not Me invites all young girls in Linguère to participate in Girl Power Day, where they can explore their various interests and talents.

Girl Power Day consists of a wide variety of activities, from sports to arts and crafts.  Our Goal is to empower young girls to be creative, confident, and powerful women!

Sports | The girls get a chance to show off their athletic abilities, participating in soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

Arts & Crafts | The girls express their creative side through drawing, painting, music, photography, and reading.

Mentorship | The Girl Power Team visits with the girls to educate and guide them through the hardships they face in their daily lives.
